Dr. Aika Davis, research scientist, and Dr. Qian Zhang, UL post-doctoral researcher, will be presenting on furniture flammability and 3D printing during the 2019 ASHRAE Annual Conference, hosted by American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), on June 25 at 11 a.m. CT at the Kansas City Convention Center in room 2204.

UL Chemical Safety & Human Health’s two presentations, “Particle and Chemical Emissions from 3D Printers and Their Potential Health Impacts,” and “A Study of Chemical Exposure from Consumer Products Used in Residential Environments,” will discuss chemical emissions from fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D printers and human chemical exposure levels from flame retardants.

The presentations are a part of ASHRAE’s research summit track, “Indoor Environmental Quality and Chemical Emissions.”
